Estampas Folkloricas Peru of New York at Hofstra University

Estampas Folkloricas Peru, of New York, presented a spectacular dance show on Saturday, April 30th 2011, as part of the annual cultural program of Hofstra University. The event took place at The Helene Fortunoff Theater/Monroe Lecture Center of California Avenue South Campus of Hofstra Universitiy.

We presented a 2 hours show introducing typical folklore dances from different regions of Peru, such as Cuzco, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Puno, Lima, Piura, Huancavelica, Junin and even from the jungle.

Espíritu Andino, Mosaicos del Perú, Marcos de la Cruz "Maldición" scissor dancer and our friends Jhony Cortez and Pierina Casanova from Connecticut, also performed in our show.

Estampas Folkloricas Peru in Festidanza 2011.

Estampas Folkloricas Peru participated in the event Festidanza 2011 organized by our friends of Mosaicos del Peru in Jackson Heights, NY. We performed 'Tuntuna,' a typical dance from the department of Puno.
